The Lutheran Sports Association of Missouri, Inc. (LSAM) is preparing to host our annual Girls State Volleyball Tournament. Dates for the event are November 2-4, 2018 on the spacious and beautiful campus of Saint Paul Lutheran High School in Concordia, Missouri. The weekend will be filled with great Christian fellowship, healthy competition, entertainment, worship and wonderful memories.
Our weekend will begin on Friday evening with a meal sponsored by Servants of the Saints, team photographs, a parade of athletes, weekend Worship, volleyball contest, goodie bag exchanges and LSAM IDOL. Each team will bring their school banner to be used during the parade of athletes. Pool play will start Saturday morning and continue through the day. Later in the afternoon on Saturday we will have tourna-ment brackets posted. Final schedule of events will be posted online. Tournament play will be begin on Saturday evening and continue on Sunday. All teams are guaranteed at least two tournament games.
Teams eligible to participate are Junior High girls volleyball teams from Missouri Lutheran Schools. Players on the state roster application must have been rostered together and played as one team during the 2018 regular season/league play. The team roster maximum is 13 players.
SPECIAL NOTE: Please find the Tournament Application including the roster and the team win-loss record form on-line. Complete and return this form along with the entry fee by 2 pm on Mon-day, October 1, 2018. All applications and win loss records MUST be received by the published date and time to be considered. The entry fee for each team is $125.00. Food and lodging is available in Concordia and surrounding communities at each team’s expense. An official Tournament Book, listing participating teams, brackets and all other final tournament information will be available for purchase at the Tournament. All teams sponsor a full-page ad for $100.00. This advertisement may be sponsored by your school, a supporter of your school/volleyball program or a business person in your community.
LSAM will follow MSHSAA guidelines at State Tournaments as well as the LSAM Volleyball Tournament Rules. LSAM VB Tournament Rules are available on our website and will take precedent over MSHSAA rules for this event. LSAM reserves the right to post “Supplemental Rules”. All coaches will be made aware of any ruling changes.
