2021 Scholar Bowl Information

Due to the pandemic, we have had to make the following changes to this year’s scholar bowl format.
-The biggest change will be that this year will be VIRTUAL. Your teams will be competing from your own school. No buzzer systems will be used. Instead each team and players will need access to computers, Chromebooks or similar. We will be using the website:
Buzzin.live as well as ZOOM.
I encourage you start practicing with it as soon as possible. Just go to the website for instructions on how to build a game. If you need help with that, feel free to contact me by any option listed below.
-All rounds will be held on Saturday, February 13th. That means NO POOL PLAY. Every team will be seeded using their records. The St. Louis league has their own tournament so seeding will be according to their standing after their tourney. Outlying schools will need to play at least 4 games and submit their records to be considered for the tourney. Since StL area has their own league, any records between outlying schools and any team in that league will not count toward their records for seeding. If you need help finding a team to compete against, contact me and I can give you contact information for other schools.
-There is a limit of 16 teams. We are still working our way through this different format and do not feel we can handle more than that. Along that line…PLEASE BE PATIENT WITH US AS WE WORK THROUGH THIS.
I strongly suggest you notify me ASAP with your contact information. I will be using that information to provide updates as they come along. Registration forms will be available soon. Check the LSAM website often at: lsam.org for forms.
